Stars Lose To Avs

 Sadly , Our Dallas Stars dropped the ball (or should I say puck) in their game against the Avs .
 I did like that they seemed to start out playing harder than they did in their past few games . They still looked rusty , but better .
 The first two periods were terrible in this game . Our Stars displayed a complete lack of puck security by all players including Turco whose horrid turnover to Wolski ended up turning into Arnason’s first goal of the season . The give-away total that made it to the scoresheet did not reflect where the turnovers were made and that was the critical part .
 Our Stars are still suffering with inconsistent play . They did play well in the third period , but penalties called against them killed off much of the time that they would have had if they had played more disciplined .
 Our Stars defense still has issues as well . They still allowed more than a few odd man rushes the wrong way . A few of these were broken up , but why play panic hockey when you can do things right and win ?
 I was displeased with the no goal call on The Cap’n’s goal off his glove but , in the end , it was the right call . I just think it was a shame that Richards and The Cap’n had a difference of opinions that was actually published in the game recap on DallasStars.com . That does not exactly relay a vision of a team united .
 I really hope next game Our Stars play , that they play the third period over the whole game , but this time without the penalties . 
 
 MY three STARS of the game are ;
 1 Mike Modano – He has been Our Stars best player this season and tried unlike many of the other players .
 2 Brad Richards – He made some great plays and was instrumental in one (almost two) and scored one himself .
 3 Fabian Brunnstrom and James Neal – For rookies , they have really come out and worked hard . They both just have to remember to play defense as well . Sharp players , but they still have a little way to go (not far mind you , but some work) .
 4 Doug Janik gets the fourth star for taking a stray stick end in the face and making some good plays before he had to be cleaned up and leave the game . I hope he is able to come back soon .
