(Tampa) Baywatch

Despite yet another loss by the Lightning , our ex-Dallas Stars players still shined .
Jussi Jokinen started off the scoring and collected an assist on the game’s second goal . Those were his first points since the move to Tampa Bay . He ended the game as one of the two Tampa players with positive +/- ranking . He has almost eighteen minutes of ice time and four shots on goal .
Jeff Halpern logged overtwenty minutes of ice time and saw time even strength , short handed and on the powerplay . He had three shots on goal and won thirty-nine percent of his faceoffs . This game was only his second game with the Bolts in which he was held without a point .
Mike Smith faced twenty-five shots and allowed three goals . Even though was the losing goalie , he made many , many great saves . One of the goals scored against him were scored on a two on one where the defenseman did not take away the passing lane . There was another goal that should have never been allowed . The ref clearly had his arm up for an offsides , but he never blew the whistle and stopped the play . The Flyers were allowed to score an offsides goal . The officiating in the NHL seems to be in  question more and more these days .
